Garmin Mapsource - Nova estrutura de Ficheiros Outubro 2008

Finalmente se começa a perceber o que estava passando com a ultima release do Mapsource, que para muitos estava com BUG.
A Garmin está mudando a sua estrutura de apresentar e ler mapas no PC.

Algumas dicas (nao traduzi para que se entenda a técnica no original)
Os e-mails começaram a circular há 2 dias em várias listas de autores de mapas.

The new map update city navigator eu 2009 are installed in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps\City
Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap.
There is also a map product1 with contains gmp files.

In the register it isn't written down as before. Will this mean that custom maps aren't supported in the future ?

In windows vista it is installed in C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\Maps\City
Navigator Europe NT 2009.gmap .

as well on both ps's the new mapsource 6.14.1 is installed.

downgrading to 6.13.7 seems to work only when you delete
c:\garmin\mapsource.exe and all language dll files.

Mapsource 6.13.7 is working but the new maps aren't visible anymore

If you update a device via the wepupdater then CN EU 2009 also installs the Map in Mapsource, however unavoidably together with Mapsource V6.14.1. The map files are installed in c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\GARMIN\Maps\City Navigator Europe NT 2009 (respectively C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\ ..etc) and the map files do not have the *.img format but *.gmp which cannot be displayed unter earlier Mapsource Versions.
