I'm an Italian man who often come to Brazil ( Fortaleza, my wife is Brazilian ):

I want ask you if ther's a map of Fortaleza and Cearà that I can add to my Garmin nuvi 310 deluxe that can guide me when I'm in Brazil.

I want say you excuse me if I'we writed in English, I can read Portuguese but is very diffcult for me to write it.

Hello Rosario,

There's a brazilian voluntary project called Tracksource that develops brazilian maps.

You can download those maps on Tracksourse Project website (http://www.tracksource.org.br) and upload it with Mapsource software.

Note1: Be sure to backup your original maps, because mapsource will delete all maps on your GPS device every time you send maps to your device.
Note2: Only "Tracksource Roteável Rodoviário" is routeable and it has main avenues/roads and highways only.
Note3: You can have detailed streets maps on "Tracksource Municipal", but it isn't routeable. In another hand, you can locate your self on the map.

Do you know if ther's a system to obtain maps from a google map grabbed as a .jpg?

The map of google are very detailed, i've noticed that for Fortaleza are represented all road.

Grabbed google maps are transformable to map for the garmin ( like those of tracksource project ) ?

Para "pegar" mapas do Google como jpg e referenciar eles para o Ozi ou Trackmaker, usa o programa GoogleMV2.
